Don’t care for this one. Nice concept, but the links on the left sidebar just dissolve into those large bg photos.

Yeah, the concept is nice, but readability through out is pretty taxing on the eyeballs.

Agree with the above comments. Nice design hampered by an over-indulgence in transparency.

the photography side of the website is quiet nice, but as above overwhelms the content.

I completely DISAGREE with all the above posts. I have seen numerous Flash websites that have done this EXACT thing, and they have actually gotten ADDY awards. I think this is a beautiful design, and not too hard to read at all. Very refreshing to have a site done like this in CSS rather than Flash. Nice site. Job well done.

I can’t read the copy without getting a headache on some of the pages. Yes they do this a lot on many flash sites. But since when are flash sites a hallmark of good contrast ratios or accessible design?

I would say that “duddelbug” pretty obviously designed this website because unless you were going out of your way to defend it there’s no way you could honestly say that text doesn’t have readability problems.

    I agree with duddelbug.
Yes, there’s a little readibility problem, but it’s because the font is too small, not because of the background.
If you get a headache on this then you get a headeache on 60% of the internets.
