Quiet a nice website. I would say it is fair easy to tell what the website is about, as for what I remember well his name ‘frisk design’ stuck with me more so than the website’s background, but that is my take.
As for design wise the website has an overal nice appear to it, but I would say that everything does appear to be either white…light blue/white when it comes to writting, which doesn’t lead my eye much, clean though.
Hi guys, thanks for the link to my site and the comments, good and bad. I take all constructive criticism seriously.
I think it’s pretty clear what the site is about with the intro text, as noted by Jeremy,. I thought long and hard about the text and flow for the homepage and I’m happy with the result.
If you found the design fresh and clean, I’m happy — that was the intent.
I tend to go back into these archives when I need inspiration, and in case Dudeydudedude does as well, I wanted to let him know that since my last post on this thread, I’ve really come to respect Dudey’s opinion.
As for this particular site, I do still disagree with Dudey. I think that the site’s design is fine, and it’s nice to see a designer’s site that doesn’t bash you over the head with a wood grain effect of some sort.
My only complaint is that the designer features his own design site on the front page; slightly redundant and gives the impression that the portfolio is being padded to cover a lack of work that can be showcased.

Are they selling detergent? Aquariums? Fabric softener with a sea breeze scent?
Awful brand image.
The repeating background is nice though. I guess that’s the reason why this site is here in the first place.
He is selling simple, usable and accessible websites using web standards… as indicated by bold, 24-pt font sitting prominently below the logo.
I liked this website better before it became “dudeydudeydude’s frank assessment of bestwebgallery.”
I think it’s a very nice site. Especially the design and layout of the blog section.
I love the color use and the footer is awesome!
I totally see detergent too, no, Febreeze. I would agree with Jeremy if Dudey’s point wasn’t so true.
@Jeremy – Do you remember the 24-pt copy, or do you remember that fresh, sea breeze-like feeling of a cool, clean, crisp, white shirt?

Nonetheless, good work.
