I have to say, this site has one of the most unique approaches to selling typefaces. A bit of traditional readability is sacrificed, but the trade-off is a site with real identity. I tried shutting off the css as well, and found that they didn’t sacrifice accessibility for the visually impaired to do so.

Diffinently a different take on a typeface based website, but that doesn’t mean it is a good one. While a novel idea this design quickly becames hard to navigate, you find yourself running your mouse over everything just to check if it is indeed a clickable link or just text. This quickly becomes annoying and in my case….and you move on.

@PIC - good point. The hover is an issue.

I agree with PIC at first I loved it and it felt like nostalgia. Then I tried to navigate through the site and came across the same issues.

That being said, amazingly unique… but usability takes one for the team to achieve this uniqueness

I concur, at first the site seems very promising, but very soon i got slightly miffed by a couple of things, i didnt know exactly what they were selling and there was an overload of pale yellow and lack of clarity about where to click. The idea and design is wonderful but not sure how it would translate well for the interactive medium.

To be honest, I’m starting to wonder if this site might have been better if they did it in Flash.

However, it may just be a lack of planning.

This site looks nice but, it seems to lack any direction for a user.
