Shame really. The Ecotrails site on their portfolio is miles better than their portfolio site, and that is usually not the case (because clients tend to kill-by-committee).

I like it. I’m from Ireland and recognise some of the buildings and taxi in the header graphic from Belfast (where the company is based), which gives it a local feel but with a very personalised style. I also like the “one page” approach they’ve taken to organising the information.
dudeydudedude, clearly grunge design is not your taste at all (I saw the list of your favourite sites you left in another comment, some of which are most certainly not to my taste), but I think it’s good to see something individual and very different to the typical run-of-the-mill designer websites I see a lot of in this part of the world.

@thane - True enough. I believe I stated it somewhere else as well (that I’m not particularly fond of “dirty / grunge” websites).
However, as far as grunge designs go, I really am not keen about this one. It’s not the fact that it’s grunge that turns me off - it’s because that a number of elements (mostly the colours) don’t seem to “blend” together as they should.
I thought this was a great looking site. Information is well organized, the header graphic really pops at you, the footer has a cool finished look. I thought this site was pulled together really nicely. This is one of my favourite grunge designs.

I really love this site - the layout, organization, colors, and look and feel, just really do it for me. Matter of taste, I guess!

@getupwithit re: Matter of taste
I would have to think so too. I tried looking at it again, and I still can’t find the appeal.
I am with dudeydudedude (cricky think i spelt it right :P ) its a okay…website. Header graphic is lacking width when viewed on a larger screen (1920×1200) which when i first loaded the site jumped out at me.

huh, i didn’t notice the header cut-off. But in saying that, I don’t see it as a big problem personally… I think a (wide) elaborately designed graphic which over 99% of people see with no cut-off is better than a less-interesting repeating pattern for the sake of the few who view the web at 1920 width …

im with printing in cleveland, if you look at it on a high res screen the header img and the bg image cut off, ithink this just shows lazy design. The header image did not need to be stretched or repeated, it could have simply faded into a blue at the edges and continued accross the screen with a bg colour, same with the bg. This would then cater for all, still keeping your “intersesting elaborat image”.
I dont think its wise to design sites that just view well in the most common screen res.
I would have liked to see some more color used in the header. Or maybe just a different color for the logo, I feel like the logo disappears in the city. Other than that I love it, I think it’s a beautiful site.
I really like it. The grid makes the content very organize. I really like the style used around the square images and the “visit site” buttons. Each section is easy to distinguish because of the good header style. Although the header text should be in sifr text with the header lines and circle as a background image.
The footer style ties nicely with the header up top. Good good. Simple but has a edge due to texture :)

Designed by a 14-year old skater perhaps?

Love how artistic it is, however, header cuts off in a widescreen
