For a site with a usability guru on board, you would think they wouldn’t make the mistake of applying light text on a black background for the content.
Personally, I’m not a fan of the layout either. The Left-to-Right-to-Right-to-Left layout of the portfolio can be tiring for the viewer, but with the high level of contrast (due to the black background), it really does becoming tiring to the viewer.
Could have been better with a few more pages too, IMO.
