this is an interesting design…not sure what to categorize it as…very unique. I particularly like how the titles look as though they are behind the content in some way!
From a marketing standpoint, it is not very clear what the site is about…this is something to consider seeing as people probably make their decision about whether they want to stay or not in the first 3 seconds (i just made that statistic up). At any rate, you should try and communicate what your show is about, and why I should listen, another words…are these random couch interviews, do you interview celebrities, what??? Just a tip, take it for what its worth…
I must be honest and tell you that my brother and I are not sure about what it is either.
What we do know is that it is us with a video camera filming stuff (opinions, interviews, news) about the Web, Formula 1 and Cycling.
At the moment the latest video goes onto the front page which confuses returning visitors because one day they watch Web related stuff and then the next day its F1 related. We are aware of this and so….
We have almost completed a new version of From the Couch which allows visitors to choose their channel (Web / F1 / Cycling) and hopefully we will have a proper ‘About Us’ page which will define what the show is about.
Luckily at the moment people seem to be hanging around quite long on the site despite not knowing what it is about. I think people appreciate that it is easy to use and I suppose it does get straight to the point of watching the video cast.
Hope that explains it a bit. Sorry for the even longer post.

Don’t worry Chris, the locations will change all the time. Cape Town has plenty scenery which we can attack.
