I believe that Squarespace is the best publishing systems on the Web. I use it for 5 Web sites at varying payment levels and love how it allows me to not worry about a lot of backend issues.
Don’t really like it. Very “smashing magazine web 2.0″ – bigger-than-needed icons, layout doesn’t have much flow, text colors are awful for accessibility, etc.
The software/service itself is pretty good though.
Although, I just visited the home page and don’t like how they have that gigantic video player. I have a 24″ monitor and it still was halfway below the fold.
This site does create a nice clean environment for the content, but that player is way too big. And the content down the right side really needs to be organized better to make them less overwhelming and uncomfortable.
Player too big? What does ‘too big’ actually mean?
You’d prefer a smaller one?! I’m irritated by small screens that attempt to show you screencasts but end up being utterly useless because you can’t actually SEE anything. Believe me, if you were actually USING this, rather than commenting as an uninvolved observe, you’d be very thankful that the screen was of a size that made watching painless.
And yes, I do like SquareSpace. I’ve used it for almost 5 years.

Reminds me of Damien’s site. coda.co.za
Nice site. @Jamie – eh? They don’t look the same.
The only real similarity is the use of a grainy background, which is used in a lot of places.
Very very yummy. Their app also looks pretty decent. The UI is awesome, good graphics too.
Nice.
I agree with david. Nice site and a cool looking app.

I dig the site. Nice clean layout. Plus their product is cool.

Most of my development now takes place on Squarespace if it does not need payments or communities.
