Nothing wrong with the font on Windows, people may have browser issues… Although the colour scheme is a bit bland i feel like it’s purposeful so ensure the work or graphic stands out more. This is an underused practice and helps people to focus on the content rather than having their eyes drawn to uneccasary areas of the page.
The work is very good and the site does it’s job in a clean and concise manor, it’s not flashy and remains stylish… good job!
I did not confirm that there wasn’t a problem. I was simply stating that it is a terrible font choice.
Courier New is presented as headline and body copy. The body copy font weight is set to ‘lighter,’ when it’s a light font to begin with. It’s also far too light on the beige background. Additionally, the line height is set way too high.
Oh i see… Sorry i didn’t realise you were stating personal preference over font style. I don’t agree at all and the choices made are certainly not of any detriment to the site at all but point understood, thanks for clarifying.
The main font being used is Rockwell. I’m interested in seeing how many “non-designers” computers have this font. Everyone else will likely see Courier, which is likely why there’s a host of complaints.
I don’t like how there’s inconsistent “mystery” links in the portfolio. Sometimes you get a light-box, and other times you get a new window. Clean site otherwise.
I don’t mind this site myself, simple use of colours, mostly in the brown colour range, but I dont like it when you click on a link in the menu and the text size reduces moving all the text around it.
They updated their design recently, it is different from in the image. Some of the above comments regarding the muted, but strategic design are still relevant, I believe they fixed the font issues on windows, and love the overall new look. Dramatic improvement.

Not a bad design, although the color combination is a bit eye glazing.
Oh dear, the font looks horrible on windows
The font is crap here on Windows. That totally ruins the whole site for me.
Apparently, they haven’t got the word not to use non-native fonts.
the color combination not really eye catchy~
i can’t see any problem with the fonts, but i don’t like the huge ugly twitter box.

If there is no problem when viewing on a Windows box, then it was a terrible font choice. Really terrible choice…
@Jamie… sorry i don’t understand your point. If there’s no problem (as i said and you confirmed) then how is that a terrible choice?

@Afovea & Jamie:
I checked the site on a windows pc, and on my mac. And it absolutely does not look the same!
On the pc it looked awful, and I’m quite certain you would feel the same if you could see it Afovea.
^ What John says. There’s no anti-alias on the larger text.
Courier New is almost as bad as using Comic Sans in my opinion.
