    Needs work on the white space (or lack of…).

    Hi dudeydudedude! I’m just curious about your background (like everyone here is). It would be great if you could tell us more about it to add some more weight to your comments. – Coz who knows we might be talking to a really famous person here or a web design “celebrity” or whatever you wanna call it :) That will sure be something worth bragging about to my friends :)

    DDD will never reveal his identity, he is like The Stig.

    Back to the website, I disagree with DDD. I think it is an awesome looking site and should have been on this gallery a lot sooner, well done.

    DDD is an opinionated old coot who dismisses all sites that don’t fall into his own narrow perception of good design, and generously accepts any sites with even some elements that do.

    The fact that, on average, the majority of posters here tend to disagree with him shows that he is a minority who should not be taken seriously and/or given any sort of authoritative status.

    But, with free speech being what it is, and the fact that I often find his ramblings amusing, keep it up DDD.

    Last time I checked, my for and against ratio was at 5:3 – in my favor, so I’m not worried about that nonexistent majority you’re talking about. =)

    Besides, it isn’t my loss when inexperienced children refuse to listen. After all, what’s wrong with championing the real purpose of web design – that is: to focus on, and make the content interesting, accessible, understandable, memorable, usable, and hopefully, worth sharing with others.

    What’s the point of a “pretty” website if the reason why it is even there (the content) is not the primary focus? That makes as much sense as buying a frame that totally obscures a painting.

    @David

    Actually, I do like the art direction of the website. The typography and contrast are good, no arguments there, but I still think that it could have been improved with better spacing.

    The “typography and contrast ” literally hurt my eyes. I think its a great design though. lol

    One of the best “minimal” portfolios on the web – I’ve seen this before on some other galleries; the guy is a good person to follow on Twitter too for design-related links and resources. Good stuff, should have been here sooner!

    I really dig the right column and background details of the page. The only criticism I have is that the headline seems to fight for focus due to the large portfolio image directly below it.

    I love the typography treatment at the top as well.

    Really? I’m a bit surprised. The colors were muted enough so that it wasn’t too straining. Perhaps it was because of the lack of whitespace? ;)

    Cool stuff luv the typography and the ease off the overdone stuff we see with current design. Bookmarked this.

    Not Helvetica that I know for sure — anybody know the exact font? Love the site too by the way.
