I found that if you refresh all the images are gone and if you can’t find the nav it’s just a black screen. Only time I could get the images back where if you clear your cache.
I actually kind of like the idea of the menu, but it still didn’t keep me there in the end. I like how, when you are agonizing over the loading images, and you are about to give up, not seeing the point of the site, you put your mouse up to the back button and voila! The menu reveals itself, and life has a purpose once more. But then it was still going to take 10 minutes to load the site, so I left anyway.
The menu auto-hides after the thumbs load up – which they took so long, I stared at them for a good minute, so I didn’ t have issues finding them. Aside from that, the site (particularly the images and intuitiveness) is very good.
I am on a pretty decent internet connection and even then the site took at least 2 minutes to let me do anything.
Then by pure accident I found that there was a menu hidden away at the top… not good enough… more refinement of the UI is needed and also a better loading strategy for the initial images… especially on the front page.
Got bored waiting after 5 seconds (on 24Mbit DSL). Don’t make me wait. Maybe the site looked visually appealing once loaded, but that shouldn’t be the only factor in getting onto BWG.

Very nice effects on this site, but it’s too enigmatic.
Nice photographs, bad site (anyone find the hidden menu?), which means that this shouldn’t be on a web design gallery.
Still, nice photographs.
why does it have load every single thumbnail before I can view the large version of the images?
Hate it.
Who wants to have that many thumbnails on one page? Complete waste of time, just waiting for 60 images to load.

Someone forgot to test.
I had no problem with the menu – but I do agree with niels. Having all the images load prior to being able to view larger images is horrendous.

The one nice feature about this site other than the photos is the scaling of the images on browser resize, but other than that I am not keen.
Truly awful site, interface, everything. The images themselves are fantastic. Everything else…are you kidding me???
Tough Crowd LOL

Have to agree with other people.

Very nice. Well done!
It takes ages to load.
The question I pose is:-
Does this site require the use of flash, my answer ‘NO’. The same effect could have been gained from using, HTML, CSS and Javascript.
Would have saved on the loading time and made the website more accessible.
Lovely photography, shame about the poor execution of the design.
Вот именно поэтому и иногда не хочется двигаться вперёд!
Хм, к размышлению…
