The fact that this website is also from Nick La doesn’t matter to me. This website shows how modern techniques can improve the usability of a website greatly.
Not sure if the wood background matches the overall theme of the site. I’m also not to fond of the checkout bar in it’s current location, The balance of the site looks a little off. I would probably play around and move it to the top, right underneath the logo and nav. Just my 2 cents.
>>>> Am I the only one who thinks that putting one’s own work on one’s own “Best Web Gallery” is a little odd?
I agree it’s a little odd, but it’s one of the perks of being site owner Besides it’s not half bad and are better than some of the sites listed on here imho.
@dudeydue: does it really who created it? I think it is a good site with good design (I think most people here would think it is a good site). Agree with others though, the dock doesn’t work on Safari and Chrome.
I think dudedudeydude is just jealous that other sites get featured here.. like who is this dude by the way? He/she never left any websites or contact in the comments.
I agree with Dudey. It’s very Apple.com – curvey, short drop shadow, gradient text… blah blah blah. And the cart doesn’t suit the rest of the site – and as @johann said, it throws off the balance.
@dudey – haha – I always secretly thought you were N.Design – I guess not!
@dude: I don’t think it’s nepotism. Nepotism is when you prefer family and friends over others and I don’t think this site’s owner is doing that as he probably only has 2 to 3 sites showcased here out of hundreds. I don’t think he’s favoring his sites over others as there is always plenty of room for everybody (actually, limitless amounts of room). Also, it’s not as half as bad as some of the other sites showcased here.
I think the site is beautiful. It may be a little ‘Apple-ish’, but what is still totally original these days? And applying a drop shadow and some gradients doesn’t mean it can’t be unique in its own way.
I believe a lot of crap is coming from people here who don’t have the right to make such remarks. Maybe you should put your real name here, and perhaps a link to your own site…
I agree putting your own site in your own gallery feels a little ‘odd’, but on the other hand it deserves it spot here.

Errr… isn’t this a case of tooting your own horn?
Icon Dock is a project of N.Design Studio, which, among others, runs this gallery.
Three cheers for nepotism then?

I really love that dock.
Hmm… the drag and drop feature is not working for me in Safari 3.2 on a mac. fail
Yeah, as far as I’ve noticed, the drag and drop doesn’t work in Chrome or Safari. Other than that nice layout.
Doesn’t matter who created it; awesome work!
Very nice site
lol, dudey is such a bother about every little thing.
Lovely site.

I would put the checkout bar in a fixed position along the bottom of the browser window, similar to grooveshark.com’s playlist.
@Don:
Every little thing? Am I the only one who thinks that putting one’s own work on one’s own “Best Web Gallery” is a little odd?
Just for the record: No, I don’t like this site’s design. It is cliche, unoriginal, and unimaginative. Just like every mac-clone site out there.
Next.

@Lisa: I noticed you didn’t list a site with your post either… way to go.
Dudey simply pointed out what many of us were thinking…

I noticed that when you click the icon a slight movement without dragging the icon to the cart gets inside the cart.???
Awesome work with wordpress + wp-commerce. Congrats.
btw: You still using Safari 3.2?
btw 2: Nick does a great job with BWG and WDW. Posting his own projects here is more than fair and rewarding for his work on this projects.
