The “Change Theme” button on the lower bottom right needs to be relocated elsewhere. It’s quite distracting in it’s current location, I would move it to the top and make it smaller.
I don’t really understand why people would like to change the theme of a website. It’s beautiful and kinda cool, yes, but is it useful or helpful somehow? Or just a designer’s toy?
Good, fun, unique art direction. Some of the layout still needs tweaking, but overall, it’s a good package.
The logo seems a little inspired by Aviary, but I wouldn’t say that the rest of the site was, so I guess it’s acceptable.
P.S. For anyone interested in that alternative white/black style (not the backgrounds), both Nylon Magazine and Vice Magazine UK utilize a similar style:
