Nice pretty scrolling and all that, but check it out in IE6. When you select a link you lose the navigation and cannot get back to it without refreshing.

I refuse to comment, as I am a fan of Simon Oxley’s Illustrations, and my opinions would be biased. :)

Nice typography and content strategy but navigation seems problematic

@Anthony J: Either you’re browsing this site in IE6 just to nitpick or you really are an IE6 user, but whatever the reason is, if you’re still using IE6, you don’t deserve to be here so get the *@$% out!

That’s simply the reason why IE6 never dies – coz a lot of idiots still use it.

@Kola: When you do front-end development on high-traffic ecommerce sites you have to test in IE6. My reason for viewing the site in IE6 (after viewing it in my preferred choice of browser, Firefox) was purely to see if Pedro was able to produce the nice effects you get in a standards compliant browser, in IE6. And if he didn’t, did he use graceful degredation to make sure that it was still usable? When I saw it wasn’t usable, I alerted him to it.

I would love to see the death of IE6. However, as long as these “idiots” (as you put it) still use IE6 to make online purchases, it’s going to be hard to convince businesses to drop support for IE6. It may be possible to get away with it on specialist sites or brochure sites, but not on high-traffic, revenue generating sites.

@Pedro Sousa: Thanks for taking on board my constructive criticism. It my be a bit jumpy in IE6, but at least users can still navigate. Nice work :)

I also like your use of graceful degredation in that the navigation items have rounded corners in standards based browsers, and the nice fade over the tops of the headers.
