Nice work except for the red line? whats the purpose of the redline?

Does it not tie in with the style of the link hover images? Maybe that was the idea.

Top site overall I think, nice cohesive design that flows well.

Very good looking site with perfect typography. What else we can get from Area 17.

I’m with Toby on the seemingly random red line on each page. It’s so random it’s distracting. Hopefully the author chimes in with an explanation. Nice simple site otherwise.

A typographical tour de force. The red line is genius. There mere fact that some people don’t get is the very reason it should be there :)

Interesting site, but much advertisments on him. Shall read as subscription, rss.

A single red line delivering so much personality?

Simply put: that is minimalism at its finest.

that red line makes the author of the website look like a total douche. what a way to annoy people, and to #8: you’re obviously the author of the site, no one would say that’s “minimalism at it’s finest”… you don’t even know what minimalism is, moron. Get a brain and maybe a little design skill and then maybe you can have a keyboard, until then, don’t speak, thank you.

As designers (and people) sometimes we do things just because we want, because it pleases us. As an interactive agency, often times we must forsake that personal freedom for the love of our clients. Why the red line? We don’t know either. Sometimes things just are what they are.

We happen to find it elegant and as it is ours, we wear it as it pleases us. I guess that makes us total “douches” for some – which, by the way, means “shower” in French ;-)

Thank you all for your kind (and sometimes not so kind) words. We appreciate the feedback and the attention.
