Like the illustrations but I think with the page length and lack of structure there needs to be more to hold it together (or divide the sections more).
I think it’d be better this amount of content be presented on seperate pages or keep it on one page but with horizontal scrolling and a bigger gap between sections.
I love one page layouts like this. It’ a pretty nifty design. I feel a bit like the slab-serif style font has been used a little too much. Very texty too.
I agree, wish the text was reduced a bit and used more illustrations, or enlarge them a bit so the text doesn’t seem so overwhelming… Also agree with Ian on separating the pages or have a bigger gap between sections.
@JD – text is not selectable as they are using cufon for the text replacement which, unlike sifr, won’t allow the user to select the replaced text.
As for the design, I’m fairly underwhelmed. No hover state on the nav always annoys me and the lack of distinction between the sections adds to my sense of being slightly adrift in such a big page.
Using Cufon everywhere it is possible is some kind of joke… And as @DanC mentioned, no hover effect is another fail. Design is really nice and interesting but usability sucks.

Text is not selectable?

I don’t speak Mexican, is this the festival of whales?

main navigation on the left side and the content on the center is not really good in widescreens.
navigation should be centered too, i believe. using cufon for body text is not a good choice too.
Squared Eye whales and big serif fonts.
Great depth of field effect.
P.S. The language is Spanish not Mexican ha ha.
