The illustrations themselves in the work section are very nice. I did find it annoying, however, that I was unable to do anything with that large home page graphic. I was expecting to rollover the sections and have something “happen” with my interaction. I feel it was a poorly executed portfolio highlight area, versus a large, usable space for communication/interactivity we have come to expect on most sites nowadays. My 2ยข
This gallery is quickly becoming “Best Template Gallery”. How hard is it to look in the source to see if it’s a template? A little digging could go a long way, or at least removing sites that use templates once they are discovered. I want unique designs, not templates with really nice logos and pictures.
It’s been a while since we’ve resorted to mocking each others sites on here, lets try and refrain from it for a wee bit longer shall we?
As for the template, I like the layout and the type displayed, disappointed like @Ian and @Jeremey at the lack of interaction on the homepage and surprised that a template is included anyway.
@Ian – Agreed on the template, but not sure what version of FireFox you’re using though… he’s using Type Kit, and for me in the latest FireFox it looks pretty good.

Not wanting to appear ignorant and all, but what the heck is a ‘cargo template’, as opposed to a regular template?

@Keren, it’s a CMS – the guy has the link to it on the bottom right of his website.
I find this site annoying and personally would rather it didn’t appear in a web gallery.
Firstly, it’s just a template and secondly, it’s not a good template.
The home page doesn’t do anything and the fonts look terrible in Firefox.
There’s nothing inspirational here except for the work, but we’re not judging that, just the website.

Guys, this guy isn’t a web designer. He’s an illustrator. You’re supposed to be looking at his illustrations.
