A very beutiful web site indeed! The photogallery experience could be progressively enhanced with some Ajax so you could browse the photos without page reloads. I would also use sIFR for the heading images.
The one thing I don’t understand is that the first heading type used is H3. I would definitely use H1 and also add a good unique META description for each page for improving the search engine visibility of the site.
