I love this. Really really cool site. The only crit is that the href’s have not got the ‘outline: none;’ element set. So when you click on an item the dreaded dotted lines appear around the link.

BUT, that is nitpicking. Well done on a cool design.

Before visiting the site and just by seeing the thumbnail, I knew it was gonna be a cool site. Great job!

This site is a lot of fun. I’m a huge fan of the auto-scroll, which is evident on my own site. I like this site a lot, good work!

In response to David’s ‘nitpick’ ;)…I know so many designers hate that outline, but it’s important for accessibility.

And I loved this site so much, I voted for the dude.

To echo Matts comment, you should not really declare outline: none; as it does mess with accessibiity.

However, to stop the outline running full width across the screen, a simple overflow: hidden; will improve the look by only adding the outline around the link, creating a ‘neater’ box

Hey everyone, I am the designer who did the site. Thanks so much for all the tips and praise! It is an honor to have a site in bestweb!

@rob, thanks so much for the overflow hidden tip. I will add that asap.

@jamie I dont have a pc to test it in chrome… send me some screen shots. email is on my website. Should be working awesome in everything else (sans <IE6).

@matthew: It was simply a z-index issue, I believe. All links under the top nav were inaccessible.

    Great work!

Very slow downloading for this type of site, not optimize graphic.

IE6 is evil,.. don’t you know that?

The Great Bearded Reef is just amazing! ;)

    @Man: Still using IE6, eh?

What other dumb shit have you done lately?

And by the way, awful is spelt as awful. It doesn’t work the same way as awesome.

@14 & 15: I know IE6 is evil. But as a webdesigner myself, I make sure my sites work/look at least decent for IE6 users.
Sure I enjoyed this site, but at least a simple PNG fix could’ve let IE6 users enjoy it too.

@15: Thanks for the spelling tip
