This is sweet. But, I don’t really like that when it auto scrolls to a section the nav covers up some of the content, that you have to scroll down a little bit to see the rest. Otherwise it’s pretty nice.
Would like to say this is nice, but it’s a rip off of http://legworkstudio.com… I know the graphics are different enough, but the code and structure are identical. Check the source. They didn’t even bother to change div names or anything.
I would go further than saying I’m disappointed in their design; I’m angry. Rip-offs should not be featured on design gallery sites and whoever concocted this should be ashamed.
I can understand that other site designs can have a direct influence, and I find nothing morally wrong with doing that. But this is taking someone else’s work and earning money and/or notoriety off of their labor.
I’m not sure if our complaints may have had a direct impact or not, but it does appear the site no longer sports Legwork Studio’s navigation, but I feel that my frustration is still merited.
I know how hard ideas are to come by sometimes, especially if you’re on a tight deadline or have a demanding client, but that’s what makes the ideas so valuable and this craft so specialized, because it’s NOT easy. It’s not SUPPOSED to be easy. If it were, we wouldn’t be professionals and there wouldn’t be clients.
Correction: The nav in question has re-appeared on the site. It was too optimistic to think that the designer/developer of the site wanted to do something original.
Hey everyone, thanks for the support! We contacted the creators of the site, they sent us a very sincere apology and removed our code from their site promptly.
Yea, even if they change their code, your site is so fresh in my mind it seems the only way they could redeem themselves and not make their site look like such a ripoff would be to completely change the layout. Even though they changed the code now, the actual site is still essentially the same, just different styling, making it still seem exactly like yours. Tsk.
math is all screwed up. I can see a page and a half on some, and some I can see a bottom bar, others its under the nav. Plus, you should hide overflow, instead of leaving it scrollable.
