Very nice clean design, good use of typography as well. I like this a lot but am slightly annoyed by the sheer amount of scrolling that needs to be done once you have reached the bottom of the page.
Mayb e some more links to the other sections of the page or at least a return to top button may help?
The typography layout on this site is beyond incredible. I also love the attention to every single detail on the site. The use of color is very subtle with the mixture of light gray and and green.
One problem that i have with the site though, has to do with the main navigation. I feel like little attention was paid to the main navigation. It looks disconnect from the rest of the site, like with was just stick on the top. I would have love to see some of that lime green incorporated into the navigation a little bit, so has to make it stand out more. Cause right now, it looks as if the Navigation is part of the background.
Really lovely site. It does a great job conveying who the organization is and what services are available. The layout and design feels contemporary without giving into some of the cheesy trends of shiny things and gradients. The use of typography gives a terrific editorial feel, much like a magazine, and drives home the purpose of the writing services.
I agree with other comments about the navigation, and I think that’s what keeps this site from being top notch. For example, the nav doesn’t carry over to the blog. Because of that, you don’t really get that sense of how the site is pieced together. Scrolling down to different content sections on the main page is fine, but it should be contextualized with some navigation to remind you where you are. My bet is that the designer counted on the simplicity of the info-architecture and that it should be more obvious to visitors who the content is arranged.
I don’t think the nav would be difficult to resolve, and I would highly recommend they take a second look at it.
Love the site. Already stated.. navigation (all around, not just the header) could use some tweaking such as an addition to the blog (no links at all) and anywhere from the scrolling on the page to get back where you were. It’s simplicity, function, and purpose all work well together.
Oh I loved that … body class=”wordpress y2009 m08 d31 h09 home page pageid-470 page-author-tiffani page-template page-template-homepage-php”. Is that semantics on the code? I don’t get why the use of WP for it.
@Igor
Wordpress 2.8 has a template tag called “body_class” which dynamically generates those classes in the body tag, offering you much more control control on a post by post and page by page basis. Here’s more info: http://wpengineer.com/wordpress-28-body_class-automatic_feed_links/

The design and lay-out is great and clutter free. I like the concept of having only one page on the site with anchor link effect. Although it is not conventional in web design, it improves usability as there is no page reload required.
Good personality, good typography… I don’t have the scrolling problems everyone else is speaking of being that I’m on 1920×1200 res… but I can see where they are coming from

I agree with what Dan said about more navigation. But I love the clean design and use of typography. Very nice!

Very nice design and typo but I don’t like the auto scrolling navigation.

Is a nice site and a good works. The graphic is good and for me is light to highlight the projects.
