    This website is incredible!

    They have made a website that doesn’t use images to beautify the site, they have created a truly beautiful site with use of just simple design and good typography.

    congrats! i cant wait for the day when i can design stuff like this

    So… I guess I’m the only one that’s not that impressed by it.

    Thanks for including me in the gallery and for the complements! :)

    @dudeydudeydude – What about it doesn’t appeal to you? You’re not really giving any constructive criticism worth listening to…

    I think this site is nice. It’s really done in a style I like.

    @DDD

    I’m curious as to why you don’t like it.

    I think it’s nice, but there’s nothing particularly special about it. Nice color and nice font choice.
    You also might want to look into using Cufon or sIFR.

    It’s not flashy, which you might think makes it not special, but that’s perfect. It’s clean, simple, and elegant, with beautiful typography.

    Great job, Renee – I love it. It communicates your brand perfectly.

    @Renee:

    My apologies. Let me try to explain myself:

    Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad at all. Not at all. But I guess to me it’s just “ok, this is nice, very pretty” but then it stops there. It kind of feels lacking in the overall branding department. Something to make me say “ah, yes, that site with the ”

    I’m not saying it’s ugly or awful. I’m just saying that it could still be improved. Personally, it’s still missing the design equivalent of a USP.

    Sorry, apparently html elements are not allowed, I was trying to say “that site with the —insert memorable brand element(s) here—”

    It’s stunningly beautiful but I’d like to see the purpose of the website explained in an image as well.

    As soon as the page loads you’re not hit with the purpose of the website, you have to put in the effort to read what the site does. Alot of people won’t do that.

    Also, it’s a little messy when handling any screen res below 1280 x 1024.

    It starts off really great, but as you browse through it I feel that it lacks the details and USP’s as dudeydudeydude is talking about.

    I hate Verdana.

    Even though I also live in Ohio only 40 minutes away from this agency, firm, what have you, I think I have to agree with Ian.

    Mainly, for me, if the typography wasn’t so rough and a bit more clean it would make up substantially for what it lacks in what Ole and Dudey are speaking of. I also hate Verdana! =X

    Loving the inspiration behind the brand though… that inspiration makes up for any visual or code flaws in my book. This is a site for others to post work that will inspire others…..right? :)

    Hey

    This is probably one of my favorite sites out there. Very clean, minimalistic. I love it. You guys have done a great job and should be proud. I guess some people don’t appreciate the style and are more impressed by animations and stuff done in flash.

    Thanks for all the comments, both good and bad! For the people who said the coding was terrible—everyone codes different. I still code for IE6 since I have a lot of clients there—so some of that stuff was a hack job to get it working in multiple browsers without making a ton of stylesheets. I try to code as simply as possible, and it works for me! :)

    LOL @ Verdana comments. I know, I know. But it’s either that or Arial. Slim pickins. ;)
