Agree totally with the comment above, brings a lovely print feel to the web, really don’t like the nav image font though, very ugly characters, sub nav looks terrible, shame because the site is really pleasing on the eye and really functional.

It is a nice design, just a couple of issues such as the lack of hover states on links etc. I know that this is an issue when you are using Cufon for font-replacement but there are other ways to help people along without altering the text.

Minor gripes though, its a well thought out and executed design, nice!

The lack of black border on the right side makes me feel like there is more over there when there isn’t. Nice site otherwise. Pity I can’t read any of it.

I agree about the border, think a better font could have been chosen for the navigation as well with a little more decorative hover states. Overall though definitely a breath of fresh air. Really liking the architecture of this one

I agree with Rich on the hovers. Perhaps that’s just an assumption that probably is unnecessary, but hovering over the Facebook and RSS images, I was expecting something.. anything.. to happen. My first thought was a darkening effect. I tend to like the little things like that.

I can’t make myself like the navigation font. I’m finding it hard to read the sub items. Considering the bulk of the website is in standard web safe fonts, I don’t understand what is gained by using it.

Also it’s all very text heavy, to make it flow a little better maybe the text needs to be spaced better.

Apart from that, it’s a nice design. I like the concept and the logo placement. It mixes a rough hand-drawn theme with a nice clean black & white minimalist feel.
