While the magazine itself looks top notch (I’ll be buying the PDF version today, since the print is sold out), I think the site lacks heavily on content placement. So much wasted space on the right, and my eyes moving constantly to the faces in the “bubbles” are heavily distracting. The site has a lot of “stuff” to look at, and throwing it into such a small scrollable area seems limiting to me.
Elegant? Not at all… The typography is tight so it has elegance, but in no way is the overall design elegant. It does what it’s supposed to do, but I’m not seeing anything new or special.

…and by “right” I mean “left”. I haven’t had my coffee yet.
I agree with tdub there, but I love this site. I love it based purely on the fact that when I shrink my browser it accomodates perfectly.
I love it, simply brilliant design.
simple yet effective.
@tdub: “White-space” is not wasted space.
The site is super-elegant, as is the printed publication.
Great title and team. Site? I like the bubbles with a photos and the logo. And that’s all. I think you can do this better…
@Kev Adamson- I agree that white space can be used effectively, I simply don’t think this site effectively uses it.

I’m awaiting for Dudeydudedude’s comments. He has some very convincing words to say.
