Some nice textures typography + grid… Button text is a pixel or too off though which bugs me. A lot of work in the folio seems repetitive too (same button styles and grid system for a lot of things). Contact form is top notch though, definitely unique and fresh. Fave page out of it all to be honest.

I think the F6 site is really nice. But when I go to look at their actual work, I feel like I am looking at WordPress templates.

I agree with RichG. Only good page is the contact us page…and it’s not really all that good.

You took the words right out of my mouth…”the folio seems repetitive too (same button styles and grid system for a lot of things).”

I don’t really understand how this made it on this gallery, nothing original or new here….

I like the functionality of the work section, and I also think the texture and typography is tastefully handled. I agree with the comments about the portfolio itself. Good looking stuff, but it seems a little repetitive. I don’t like the over state on the “Get a Quote” over state too much, but that’s pretty nit picky.

This site is very tidy. It’s perhaps a bit samey but it is well executed. I find the colours, textures and typography to be engaging.

The portfolio page tries to do a bit too much stuff with that floating sidebar thing and lazy load. Gets a little irritating when you’re scrolling around fast. Might be nice to have some navigation to move between works.

    Like the contact form.

I like this site. It might not be groundbreaking, but it’s a pretty website to look at.

The floating text in the porftolio is really irritating, and the text on the buttons needs to be brought down a couple of px.

Apart from that I think everyone is being a little harsh. The portfolio is repetetive, but they all have different styles and all appear to be for small businesses.

I really like this site. Everything that is everything has been done before, so pointing that out in this design is not relevant.

What makes this design good is that it is executed well. Good balance of content, type, colors and layout.

    +1 from me

Real strong elements on this site which has a great attention to detail and there’s a real quality feel to the site. The execution of the typography is beautiful!

Think some of the criticism is quite harsh, a difficult bunch to please this best web gallery lot!

There’s something to be said for consistency on a portfolio site. This one has all of that and more.

The colors and textures are amazing and the ‘Contact Us’ page is undeniably the best out there.

Love it! Great attention to detail, and I love the textures. Definitely inspiring.

As much as this style has been copied over and over again, there is something about the execution of this “model”. The code is perfect and the attention to detail, such as the shadows cast on the screenshots, is very nicely done.

My only compaint – because I have to find something – is the use of those stock photoshop swirlies on either side of the ~logo~. I just don’t like em.

    That is all.

First – you’re not judging their porfolio, you’re judging the site.

Secondly – this site has top notch quality and I cannot believe some of these comments…

are your websites on this gallery? … :-/

Thanks for the redeeming comments! I was getting eaten alive here!

After browsing some other comments I didn’t take it too harshly. Very critical crowd.

@Dave Rulz: Don’t take the comments here too seriously. Most of these people consume so many websites that you can measure their progress in websites per minute(wspm). By the time most of these people have consumed several thousand websites they become impossibly hard to please because every design element they see, no matter how well built, looks as uninteresting as the last. Le sigh. It is a tough world.

Great work on Foundation Six though. My eyes glide across the content effortlessly. It was a pleasure to view. :)
