I don’t mind the body copy being so big. Pittsburgh has an ageing population. And only old people give a hoot about birds. So maybe the designer is actually a genius.
My only gripe is that from far away the logo looks like it says “sprang”. And I’d bet all those old far-sighted bingo-playing jumbo-eating bird-watching types would have the same problem.
I like feel of this design. The font sizes aren’t such an issue, maybe the line height could be adjusted a bit more (feels like I say this all time) but if you compare it to http://thenetsetter.com/blog/ then the font is quite normal looking.
