Squared Eye sure does love large arrow rollovers. I like the header collage, everything else is fine, but nothing really exciting. It gets the job done for what it is, just could use some sort of spice. Maybe it’s the drab color theme, but I can’t put a finger on it. I just kind of shrugged my shoulders and said “Meh.” I apologize to Squared Eye if they read this and note that I can’t provide more suggestions.
It’s a nice looking site, I think it’s a definate example of a real world client. I get the impression they perhaps weren’t given a large amount of source material to work with. Suck as the poorly cut out image lower down the homepage.
@John: This isn’t a critique about my site, it’s about what’s featured, which I’d say is the number one purpose of the comments section. You can take your arrogant and uppity comments elsewhere, they aren’t appreciated here.
Digging the logo, but laughing at all the Lorem Ipsum.
I agree with Jack’s opinion though: this was obviously a client that couldn’t be arsed to provide the original source material or set aside a budget to create new ones.
That aside, the text / background contrast of colors seems to be a bit off. I believe that’s what’s causing the drab atmosphere.
@John: Grow up a little. Just as people complain about the performances of singers, golfers and football players, we normal people can critique websites and big design companies too. It’s quite normal to do so despite the fact that we of course are not capable of a hole in one or a billboard 100 song.
@Edmund You call that “normal”? That’s pathetic. Yes, that’s the “norm” for small people and underachievers. This quote is for you — “Great spirits have always encountered violent oppositions from mediocre minds.”

Still a nice site though.
@tdub: I also saw your site and I said to myself, “Meh.” But I would like to apologize as I cannot provide any more suggestions.
I like the site, can’t believe their client didn’t spot the /our-story/ page with all Lorem ipsum… in there!

@John Troll much?
Why use this as a forum to troll people? Just comment on the design that is featured. What is your website by the way?
This site is fantastic. End of story.
@John, go elsewhere. Tdub’s site and work is terrible, yes, but come on now.
@John: That’s what I did aswell. Sorry tdub.
