If you read the copy, you know that they have a portfolio available for viewing upon request. There are legitimate reasons why they have kept it private, but I don’t want to speak for them.
I don’t get where you see jargon. This is one of the most jargon-free web design sites I’ve seen.
The design is great but it is a little bit of a tease. You read the services section and click it and basically just get 3 more similar sized and worded paragraphs and nothing else. I clicked around a few times just looking for something else to see. Of course this could be intentional and it probably isn’t a bad thing visitors are looking for more. It may lead to more contacts… who knows.
I love this one, in it’s creative use of a well-thought out navigation and concepet piece!
I was a little bit troubled by the services section, and had a hard time finding the little X beneath the strategize, design, develop circles… in order to get back to the circles nav FX.
Other than that, I totally dig this smooth one page site, the color palette and execution -top-notch.
I think when you walk the thin line of not showing your work being a design and development team your content really has to shine, and for me it falls flat.
The JS is quite nice and the overall look and feel is pretty unique and I like it a lot, but the content is boring and the same old crap you find on any other design site. “The design phase is where we concept, the development phase is where the design begins to come to life” … Super tired of reading that same thing over and over again.
I like the overall feel of the site, but the readability of the content is poor and as other people have said, it was hard to get any substantial information from the site.
I enjoyed it. I thought it was simple, while still being sophisticated.
My only suggestion would be to change “What we do” to “Services” (or visa versa) as they lead to the same page, but is confusing because of the different wording leading you to that page.
First, I think this a very nice and beautiful design, and the js is functionally smooth, beautiful and tasteful. It also is good to remember that this is indeed a one page site, with a lot of info. being presented.
Secondly, It’s a process of discovery rather than an “all in your face, I’m an a.d.d. web designer looking for my best web gallery fix” approach.
Third, it was intentional that they did not show their work, as it is a brand new agency of two different creatives who are trying to present what they can do “beautifully” while not relying on work from old jobs. I can understand that. If you take the time to read what they have to say, I think you will too: http://encourageothers.com/2010/10/closed-windows/ … “We’ve also built a separate portfolio site, but we’re keeping it private for the time being. We know there will be potential clientele who will want to see our past work, but at this point it’s not the approach we want to focus on.”

Nice site but they essentially speak jargon without saying much. Where is the work if there is any to speak of yet?

I like the idea – needs a “back to top” button

Does it seem to anyone else that there are a lot of designs that look more like wedding invitations than websites?
The fact that all the cool JavaScript degrages gracefully when JS is turned off wins extra points from me!
Design: A
Functionality: A
User Experience: C-

Hmmm… let’s see…
It’s a site with a lot of text. They want to explain stuff to you.
But you can’t read the text because:
1) the contrast is poor (at best, the body text was 4.6:1 – basically it fails WCAG2 completely)
2) the size is small (13px at most for the body), and
3) the writing is blah.
So without images to keep me interested or convince me, the site falls short.
OK – it looks very nice but left me thinking its more ‘art’ than website.
To sum it up – ‘pretty business card’.
btfl graphics on different shades of black! very conservative and luxuriant at the same time
I like the overall feel of the site, but the readability of the content is poor and as other people have said, it was hard to get any substantial information from the site.
Other than that it is sexy!
love it!
The site looks very nice, but the copy is indeed pretty empty. The services link is merely their process…where in that does it mention their services?
It’s well-written, but none of it really says anything.
I enjoyed it. I thought it was simple, while still being sophisticated.

Very nice design, but as a creative i would have loved to see examples of your work…umh

Unique design and color scheme… not a fan of it though… the term, “blah” comes to mind
.
I would like to see more contrast on the copy so then I don’t have to strain my eyes to see it.
The design does have potential but right now it’s not doing it for me.
