Funny how the complaints about flash websites haven’t changed a bit in 7+ years.

I agree with sam.
Flash, or rather, the animator who creates using flash, can do amazing things. Ever tried using Flash/action script? Animation is art… in the hands of a skillful artist you can expect amazing results.
Load speed is a big issue. The users time should always be respected, a lot of people will turn away if they have to wait ages for it to load.
I really like the idea of this site. Simply allow the user to click once or twice and let them sit back and listen to what you have to say. Unfortunately, it’s too much too soon. It’s CPU intensive for me too and really distracting because of that.
There’s also no volume control. I had a guy coming out of my tinny laptop speakers at full blast and it wasn’t nice. I could have skipped - the only option presented - but the whole point of me being there is to be informed, I would have missed out on that.

A rare once in a while I can sit through a flash loading sequence. This was one of those rare instances, the flash particle generated and high-tech sequences are state-of-the-art.
How many people stood in line to go see Avatar, same thing here, it’s a classic imo.

From the looks of it though I would say…
“Tiger’s Out…
Tech is In…”
He’s a dirty robot!

And my point has been made. Sorry Sam.
I have a fast pc and cable internet so the cpu and load times didn’t really effect me greatly….but 80% of people don’t have these luxuries.
