Where’s the nav? Its all over the show. Top, right side, left side, bottom. The left and right buttons on the bottom section do nothing. I do however like the font and color choices. I finally found the video hiding in a menu. I would have made that much more prominent.
I have tried several times to access this site today both with FF and Safari…all I get is the homepage faded in the background with an Ajax loader. It never stops “loading”…what’s up with that?
This site walks into a bar. The bartender looks at it and says, “Why the long load” ?
Its visual identity is fun to look at, especially the way magenta and grays work together to still come out with a strong/chic man vibe. However, there’s a ton of polishing left to do. Spacing is an afterthought and small width handling is nonexistent. The partially fluid layout breaks whatever interesting grid there could be through the website.
3 Days later…still loading. Time to move on. How did this make it in the showcase if it is not accessible to the general public? Disappointing that proper testing had not been done before featuring this site.
So… aside from AJAX, one of the reasons why this was featured was because when you resize the browser, the foreground image moves separately from the background image?
I love how this gallery equates CSS trickery or AJAX to good web design. That makes as much sense as saying electric windows equates to good architecture.
The irony is that if you really consider what counts, this site was put together in a very sloppy way. (one example: hover over “Latest Article & Tips”, then resize the browser to 1024×768 – the last container drops below the other two and can’t be scrolled to. Hilarious!)

Can someone let me know how this site looks and functions, I got bored waiting for the page to load…
Nice site….The choice of colours is my preferite. Simple navigation…I think… graphic so fluid.
I bet I will love this site when it LOADS.
In all seriousness though, when it did load I didn’t really know what to do. I clicked a few things but they didn’t seem to do anything at all!
How did this get on this site?
10:34 – loading
10:45 – loadingzzzzz
11:25 – RRRRR zzzzz RRRRR zzzzzz
12:01 – woke up,… and gave up
Loaded fine for me.
I don’t really know why I have to click to see it but as soon as I move my mouse away it disappears automatically. It should be either/or.
Also, pink for mens? Surely sticking to conventions here wouldn’t hurt the brand at all.
“View the next thing” and “View the prev thing” is really bad wording. A simple “Next” or “prev” would most likely suffice.
I like the typography (in certain places) and the color palette. The UI and navigation however, is a disaster.

Heh.

dudeydudeydude, seriously, all I want to do is take you out to lunch one day just to pick your brain. I respect you more each time you post.
I appreciate the compliments Pat, but I wonder how entertaining a perpetual critic would be over lunch.
Confusing but inovative navigation … love the typography and use of images … well done designer and developer
