This was displayed over at Siteinspire not so long ago, another website I frequent.
To be honest, I can see the design and technical merit in this website. But this kind of notice-board, overlapping griddy thing kind of design is getting really old really fast.
I guess it makes for an interesting browsing experience, but it’s far too faddy and hip for me to care about.
At the end of the day, with this kind of company, your work and reputation is what is going to blow your clients way, not some trendy, short shelf-life website.
I’d almost rather see gradients and drop shadows everywhere. Almost.
I can’t help getting the feeling that I have missed something by scrolling all over. The nav that appears on mouse-over of a section could not keep up as I scrolled to a different section and so I got really confused when I clicked on it and the result had nothing to do with the section I was on. Its just too slow.
What a fricking nightmare to use. Anyone who isn’t familiar with the web would be very confused about how to navigate. Totally disorientating and jerky. A horrible user experience.

From a design standpoint, I enjoy the style.
From a production standpoint, getting some major twitching and performance issues for Chrome on OSX.

In this site I like the graphic…particular style…so light this site and I don’t have any problem to see
My brain is so confused by this design. It took me a good 15 seconds to figure out how to use the layout and navigate the site.
Bslate is right, chrome stutters about with this site on screen. Why are these designs making it into this gallery?
